India will not export additional sugar despite expectations, as the government is cautious of the impact on local production and global prices. The country has already exported 6.1 million tonnes of sugar this season, with plans to export an additional 5.6 million tonnes through existing contracts. However, reduced sugar production due to adverse weather conditions and a decrease in the production estimate from 36.5 million tons to 34.3 million tons may prevent any further exports this season.
