International experts from Spain, Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina will meet in Peru during the first Goat Convention

The National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (INIA) will bring together experts from Spain, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Peru in the first edition of the 2023 Goat Convention to take place on November 13 and 14 in the city of Lima. The scientific event, whose motto is “Promoting sustainable goat farming” will be developed within the framework of the INIA Procap project, and aims to strengthen the dissemination and promotion of goat farming; as well as generate and transfer technologies that allow improving the genetic quality of this animal, as well as the economy of the producers. To this end, the 2023 Goat Convention, organized in alliance with the La Molina National Agrarian University, will focus on topics such as goat nutrition and feeding, biotechnology, reproduction, microbiology, parasitology and immunology, transformation of dairy and meat products for good nutrition, in addition to production of pastures, forages and silvopastoral systems.
