A collaborative study between Heritage Vines of Turkey and Ankara University's Faculty of Agriculture, along with L’Institut Agro Montpellier, aims to analyze the DNA of local grape varieties used in Turkish winemaking, including Sungurlu White, covering over 200 acres in Ayağıbüyuk Village. The research seeks to distinguish varieties, re-evaluate undervalued ones, and clarify origins, potentially benefiting the Turkish wine industry by providing more precise information about the grapes used. Participants are being asked to contribute leaf samples and cover shipping costs.
