Interventions for sheep and goat breeders, together with eco-payments under the Strategic Plan in Bulgaria

In five consecutive texts, we informed the readers about the next support intended for the registered Bulgarian producers for the period 2023-2027. In terms of direct payments (first pillar), support will start from 2023, and for rural areas (the current second pillar) - actually from 2024, it is written in the new plan. In the sixth part of the series, we will present the interventions aimed at the development of the "Sheep and Goats" sector, programmed for financing by the EFSI. For the first time in this plan, there will be extraordinary support for certified organic sheep farmers and organic goat farmers, financed by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF). It is about the ecosystem for maintaining organic farming (farm animals). It will support farmers throughout the country whose animals have passed the period of transition to organic production.
