Ireland's Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue T.D, has announced the opening of four new schemes as part of the €258 million Seafood Development Programme, co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund 2021-2027. These schemes will provide funding and support to the Irish fishing fleet and seafood processors, focusing on sustainable fishing practices and capital investment in the seafood processing sector. The schemes will be administered by Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) and are open for applications from 25 June 2024.
