Emerging Europe is experiencing a shift towards meat-free diets, with Poland and Czechia seeing a decrease in meat consumption and a surge in sales of meat alternatives. This trend is driven by consumer choices, increased awareness of climate change, and the health benefits of plant-based diets. Despite this, animal farming continues to expand, and structural changes are needed to support plant-based and ethical companies. Innovation in meat alternatives could be a key factor in encouraging more people to adopt meat-free diets.
