An Israeli delegation is in Uruguay to facilitate the export of live cattle to Israel. The delegation is planning to visit three quarantines, offices, and the port, and have a meeting with the screwworm fly eradication program. Israel is interested in whole males, castrated males, young bulls weighing up to 350 kilos, calves less than 6 months old, and empty heifers. The quarantine conditions and the minimum quarantine period before shipment are still not decided. The market is expected to be operational by next year.
