A forthcoming seminar at Expo Dubai 2020 will explore commercial opportunities for Mexican agri-food products, with a focus on those with halal certification. The event in October aims to bolster international trade by showcasing quality Mexican products from over 40 certified companies. These companies export over 60 products to countries including Congo, Ivory Coast, Canada, and the US. The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait are notable importers. Despite COVID-19, export activities are ongoing, supported by ongoing audit and training efforts. The goal is to further integrate small and medium-scale Mexican producers into the global halal market.
