Italy fruit and vegetables, research project on processing tomato

Following the entry into force of the new CAP reform and the new Fruit and Vegetables Sectoral Intervention, Italia Ortofrutta - Unione Nazionale, in concert with its associated POs, is promoting the implementation of applied research projects under the Operational Programs of the fruit and vegetable POs . Among the various projects activated, during the year 2023 the project called "Integrated applied research project to address the main critical issues of the industrial tomato product" began which involves 10 POs associated with the Union such as A.O.A, A.P.O.PA, APO GARGANO, APOC SALERNO, ASIPO, ASPORT, OP FERRARA, OPOA MARSIA, PRIMA OP BIO, TERREMERSE which together represent over 20,000 hectares of industrial tomato cultivation.
