Ecuador's banana exports experienced a 5.41% increase to 35.92 million boxes by January 2023, bouncing back from the previous year's decline. The United Kingdom led the growth with a 36.32% increase, followed by the European Union (31.3%), the United States (23.20%), Africa (14.24%), Central Asia (7.64%), Russia (1.49%), and Oceania (0.28%). In contrast, exports to the Middle East, Southern Cone, East Asia, Eastern Europe, and EFTA saw declines, with the most significant drop in Eastern Europe (68.21%).
