[By Kang Jae-nam, Korea Farmers and Fishermen's News] Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced that it has completed the designation of green tangerine shipping farms by 2025 to increase the utilization of functional components and encourage safe green tangerine production. This year, the designated green tangerine shipping farms total 214 farms, including 111 farms in Jeju City and 103 farms in Seogwipo City, which are expected to ship 741 tons of green tangerines. Green tangerine shipping farms will receive support for logistics costs, including residual pesticide safety test fees, dedicated box purchase costs, and delivery fees. However, they must complete orchard management education before shipping and attach a designated farm ribbon to the applied orchards. The province aims to expand green tangerine distribution channels this year.
