[Korea Farmers' News Agency, Reporter Kang Jae-nam] The logistics costs for Jeju early tangerine farmers are expected to decrease somewhat. Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced that it will accept applications for the "Early Tangerine Shipment Activation Support Project" for one month from September to increase the income of early tangerine farmers and expand sales channels. The province plans to support the costs of inter-provincial direct trade delivery fees, sea logistics fees for deliveries to processing companies outside the province, and pesticide residue safety inspection fees to establish a stable shipment foundation for early tangerines and reduce the distribution burden on farmers. The support targets 191 designated early tangerine shipment farms that have completed the education for the 2025 early tangerine shipment. Delivery fees and pesticide safety inspection fees can be applied for online from the Jeju Province website from September 1 to 30.
