The crisis alert for jellyfish mass occurrence has been upgraded from 'interest' to 'caution' level, just five days after the 'interest' level was issued. On the 9th, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced that it had raised the jellyfish mass occurrence crisis alert from 'interest' to 'caution' level based on an additional preliminary warning special report from the National Institute of Fisheries Science. The 'caution' level is issued when a preliminary warning is announced in two sea areas. Previously, a preliminary warning special report was issued on the 4th for the seas off Busan and South Gyeongsang Province, triggering the 'interest' level crisis alert, and when the special report was expanded to the seas off South Jeolla Province on the 9th, the alert level was upgraded.
