The Jeonnam Agricultural Technology Institute (Director Kim Haeng-ran) announced on the 20th that it has supplied a new variety, 'Jelly King,' specialized in producing high-quality royal jelly, to over 25 beekeeping farms in the province through the Jeonnam branch of the Korean Beekeeping Association. This pilot project is part of the 'Honeybee New Variety Utilization Promotion Project,' a joint research project with the Rural Development Administration, aiming to improve the income of beekeeping farms and enhance the competitiveness of the beekeeping industry through the dissemination of new varieties. 'Jelly King' is a new variety developed by the Rural Development Administration in 2019, with a high content of 10-HDA (10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid), a major physiologically active substance in royal jelly, and strong water resistance and cleanliness.
