Jeonnam Province has launched the premium seaweed brand "K-Jeonnam Seaweed," made from gopchangdolgim produced in the tidal flats of Sinan, marking a full-scale entry into the globalization of the seaweed industry. Jeonnam is the largest production area in the country, accounting for over 80% of the nation's total seaweed production, and it is home to 90.4% of the tidal flats designated as UNESCO World Natural Heritage sites, providing optimal conditions for seaweed production. As the value of local creators and local economies grows globally, the potential for development of Jeonnam seaweed is limitless. Jeonnam Province aims to nurture Jeonnam seaweed as a representative product of "K-Food that the world loves" and position it as the "black semiconductor" in the global market through the launch of this brand.
