REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The government's efforts to stabilize rice prices have begun to be implemented by the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan)/Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Andi Amran Sulaiman. The top official at Bapanas initiated the formation of the 2025 Rice Price Control Task Force by involving all partners in the food sector. After leading a hybrid coordination meeting held in Jakarta on Monday (20/10/2025), Mentan/Bapanas Head Amran explained that the government is conducting a massive appeal to ensure that no rice prices across Indonesia exceed the Highest Retail Price (HET).
