Jordan and Kuwait are the first countries to begin readmitting Brazilian poultry meat after the avian influenza outbreak

One of the main milestones was Jordan and Kuwait's decision to reduce restrictions on chicken meat from Brazil, following technical and diplomatic meetings held by the Ministry of Agriculture. The mission visited Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, and Kuwait with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding Brazilian agricultural exports. The delegation was led by the Undersecretary of Trade and International Relations, Marcel Moreira, accompanied by the Director of Trade Promotion, Ângela Peres. In Jordan, after presenting the measures adopted by Brazil to control the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak, local authorities announced the easing of restrictions on Brazilian poultry meat, which are now limited to the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
