The National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) of Peru has certified the export of 28,550 kilos of achiote grains produced by small farmers in the Junín region, including Satipo and Chanchamayo provinces. Senasa has been certifying the exports of this alternative crop, produced by family farming in the central jungle, for three years, and it is currently exported to six international markets.
