The Grain Union of Kazakhstan published data on the volume of grain exports for the past marketing year and forecasted the export for the new season, reports the agency APK-Inform. As reported by the head of the Analytical Committee of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan, Evgeniya Karabanova, at the VI International Conference AGRICOM in Astana, for the past marketing year, the export of all wheat (soft and hard) amounted to a near-record value for the 2022/23 MY - more than 7.6 million tons. The main buyers are traditionally the countries of Central Asia: Uzbekistan - 3.79 million tons (50% of the total export volume), Tajikistan - 1.31 million tons (17%), Afghanistan - 347 thousand tons, Kyrgyzstan - 200 thousand tons, Turkmenistan - 52 thousand tons.
