The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of South Korea and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China have conducted the fifth Korea-China Joint Fry Stocking Day on the 19th, releasing approximately 3.26 million fish species into the West Sea. This annual event aims to boost cooperation between the two countries in creating and conserving fisheries resources. This year, the focus is on migratory fish species such as sea bream, red sea bream, and blue crab, which are highly valued by the public and have a high economic value. Additionally, the meeting saw both countries agreeing to enhance resource management plans by exchanging genetic information of released fry seeds, with an emphasis on sustainable fishing and combating illegal fishing activities.
