South Korea's first pilot dairy village established in Nepal

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Shin Seon-mi = Hefer Korea, a private international development organization, announced on the 14th that it held a ceremony to declare the establishment of a pilot dairy village in Kamalamai City, Sindulli District, Nepal, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Nepal. This event also commemorates the first birth of a dairy cow sent from Korea to Nepal in December 2022. Nepalese farmers named their calves ‘Gamsa’ to show their gratitude to Korea for supporting the cows. The Korea-Nepal Demonstration Dairy Village is Korea's first dairy village built overseas, and is modeled after the 'Handok Dairy Demonstration Farm' established in Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do in 1969.
