Lettuce harvest started in Adıyaman, Turkey

Harvest has begun for lettuce planted within the scope of studies initiated to diversify agricultural production and offer alternative products to tobacco in Adıyaman. The planting of leaf lettuce, curly lettuce and iceberg lettuce grown by the Irrigation Union on a 10-acre area on the Şanlıurfa highway was carried out approximately 2 months ago. Some of the harvested lettuce was sent to provinces such as Istanbul, Diyarbakır and Şanlıurfa, while the rest took its place on the shelves of local markets.
