Brazil: Climate favors lettuce production in the interior of São Paulo

Despite some price drops in certain regions, lettuce producers in São Paulo's green belt are experiencing satisfactory prices. Milder temperatures have increased production, especially in Mogi das Cruzes, although some crops in Ibiúna have been hit by viruses. Last week, the price of crespa lettuce increased by 33.3% to an average of R$50.00 per box of 20 units. However, an increased supply in Mogi has led to a 2.5% decrease in the price of American lettuce, ending the week at R$ 35.83 per box with 12 feet.
