The article highlights the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on Ukraine's cattle population, with a decrease of 376.8 thousand heads, as reported by the Association of Milk Producers. This decrease is attributed to the war's impact on data consistency and the relocation of businesses. The number of cattle in the industrial sector has seen an increase of 86.1 thousand heads compared to February, largely due to the relocation of enterprises and inconsistent data from war-torn regions. Preliminary estimates put the total number of cattle in Ukraine's industrial and domestic sector at 2.409 million, with significant losses reported in several regions. Despite the war, Ukrainian farmers continue to receive meat, milk, and egg production quotas and are able to sell milk to businesses.
