The Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality in Turkey has introduced a new plant called 'Pakong' that is expected to reduce the cost of livestock feed by 50%. The plant, which yields 8 times more than corn and has 5 times higher nutritional value, was brought from Chile and planted on 5 decares of land in Adapazarı. The municipality aims to make Sakarya one of the cities with the strongest production capacity in agriculture and hopes that this new plant will be a turning point for farmers.
