South Korea has exported its first shipment of canned pork, specifically luncheon meat, to Singapore, marking the start of annual exports expected to reach 1 million cans, initially with 50,000 cans worth $60,000. The export agreement aims to bolster domestic livestock farming and contribute to the growth of related industries, using 100% domestic pork. The country is negotiating to export various processed pork products to Singapore, while also planning to expand export support and diversify items for new southern markets like Indonesia.
