Haenam County (County Mayor Myeong Myeong-kwan) successfully implemented the "Please, a Refrigerator" project for six months from April to September, utilizing designated donation funds created through the Hometown Love Donation Program. The "Please, a Refrigerator" project selected 20 households of health-vulnerable recipients among the medical aid beneficiaries in the county and directly delivered 100,000 won worth of fresh ingredients every month. Notably, the medical aid managers regularly visited the homes to provide health consultations, thereby offering not just material support but also health management and emotional care, which garnered significant positive feedback from the beneficiaries. The county planned this initiative to address the nutritional imbalance and health vulnerabilities of medical aid recipients.
