Between January and May, imports of agricultural products in South Korea totaled US$ 5,210 million, which meant an increase of 22% compared to the previous year. Of this total, US$ 127 million were provided by agricultural exporters from Peru, 64% above what was sent a year earlier. With this result, Peru ranked 11th among the main suppliers of South Korea, with a 2.4% share (0.6 percentage points more than the previous year). Its most important suppliers were the United States (20% share), Argentina (12%) and China (11%). Despite the increase in participation, Peru fell one position compared to the same period in 2021. This is due to the great growth of India (7 times what was sent the previous year) that displaced a position to several countries such as Chile and Peru. .
