Preliminary data for 2020 shows a 5.1% increase in global exports of fresh mangoes, mangosteens, and guavas, making it the second fastest growing group of main tropical fruits. By 2030, global production of these fruits is expected to reach 84 million tons, with Asia accounting for 75% of this production, led by India. Indian mango production is projected to reach 43 million tonnes, satisfying local demand and contributing to 51% of global production. Meanwhile, global exports of these fruits are expected to increase to nearly 3 million tonnes in 2030, driven by increased demand in emerging and established import markets like China and the United States, with Mexico, Thailand, and Brazil being the leading exporters.
