Mango: Update on shipments from Mexico and Brazil to the United States

The National Mango Board (NMB) Week 34 report for the period ending August 24 details that the volume shipped to the U.S. market was approximately 2,730,024 boxes, weighing 4 kilograms each. In detail, 2,730,024 boxes left Mexico, a slightly higher amount than the same week last season, when 2,642,961 boxes were shipped. The main variety of mango shipped to the American market was Keitt (91%). There is also limited supply of Ataúlfo, Kent, Mallika and Manila Rosa. The Mexican regions of Jalisco, Nayarit, Southern Sinaloa and Northern Sinaloa continue to harvest and pack fruit.
