Mexico has approved 22 Argentine processing plants to export bovine meat, following three years of negotiations between the country's health authorities. The National Service for Agrifood Health, Safety and Quality (Senasica) has published the zoosanitary requirements on its website to aid Argentine companies in the export process. The agreement includes a memorandum of understanding and a verification scheme at the point of origin to ensure the meat is disease-free and meets health and safety standards. This development resolves concerns raised by Mexican President López Obrador about importing Argentine meat due to potential health risks.
