Peru's agricultural exports, including both traditional and non-traditional products, saw a significant increase of 17% in the first eight months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020, totaling US $ 4,982 million. Non-traditional products contributed 95% of this total. The period saw growth in the export of various products such as fresh avocado, grapes, semolina flour preparations, blueberries, asparagus, animal feed, alpaca hair, and other fruits. Traditional exports, mainly unroasted coffee and sugars, accounted for 5% of the total. The United States, the Netherlands, and Spain were the main importers. The agricultural trade balance showed a surplus of US $ 952 million.
