Mobilization for homemade tomato paste in Bursa

In the central Osmangazi district of Bursa, a mobilization was launched to meet the needs of those in need. With the municipality providing tomatoes and peppers, these individuals prepared a year's worth of tomato paste using a communal method of boiling it over a wood fire. Within the scope of the project, which was realized through the partnership of Osmangazi Municipality, Gazi Agriculture, the Soğanlı Village Headman, and volunteer citizens, Soğanlı Village Headwoman Zeynep Yıldırım identified needy citizens and notified Osmangazi Municipality. Under the "Ingredients from Us, Tomato Paste Making from You" project, Osmangazi Municipality provided tomatoes, peppers, wood, jars, and cauldrons to the citizens. At the cauldrons set up in the Alemdar Market Area, citizens boiled their tomato paste over a wood fire using communal effort, which they will consume for a year.
