Moldova's 2023 table grape export season concluded with a record-breaking export of over 84,000 tons, marking a significant increase from the 57,000 tons exported in the previous season. This success is attributed to favorable weather conditions, investments in grape production, and improved post-harvest infrastructure, which together have boosted Moldova's share in the European market from 35% to 50%. The 'Moldova' variety grapes have notably penetrated various EU countries, including a first-time export to Sweden. This achievement highlights the impact of adopting modern viticulture technologies and intensive cultivation systems, leading to higher yields, better quality, and increased exports over the past decade.
