Moldovan apple exports in October slightly decreased compared to September

According to the Moldova Fruct Association, based on customs data, in October 2024, about 5 thousand tons of apples worth about $3.3 million were exported from the Republic of Moldova. This is slightly less than the month before - 5.3 thousand tons, EastFruit reports. Last month, the largest part of external supplies of Moldovan apples went to two countries - the Russian Federation (3.1 thousand tons, average invoice price of $0.62 / kg) and Romania (1.5 thousand tons, $0.71 / kg). A significant volume of goods was also sent to Saudi Arabia (220 tons, almost $1 / kg). On average, in October, Moldova exported apples at a price of $0.67 / kg.
