In the first half of 2020, Canadian fruit imports saw a 2.40% increase to a total of US $2,526 million, with Peru contributing 3.40% of that total, marking a 7% increase from the previous year. Peru remained the sixth largest fruit supplier to Canada, with fresh grapes being the most imported product from Peru, valued at US $33 million, marking a 15.10% increase from the previous year. Mango imports also saw a significant increase, with a value of US $9 million, a 25% increase from the previous year. Nature's Touch Frozen Foods Inc., Krown Produce Inc., and Star Produce Ltd. were the main buyers of Peruvian fruit in the Canadian market.
