More than 1 million tons of grain harvested in Azerbaijan

In the regions of Azerbaijan, the harvesting of autumn sowing has been completed on 33% of the area. Report was told by the Ministry of Agriculture. According to the information, 728,937 tons of barley and 366,037 tons of wheat have been harvested from the fields to date. Across the country, harvesting of winter barley has been completed on 60% of the area, and wheat - on 16%. At present, the average yield is 30.2 centners for barley and 34.4 centners for wheat. In 12 districts where the autumn sowing of barley was carried out, the harvesting of barley is already nearing completion. This season, in the Imishli region, grain has been sown on an area of about 18,000 hectares. To date, harvesting has been completed on 11,885 hectares of fields.
