The Productive Export Route (RPE) initiative in Peru, supported by the Swiss Cooperation - SECO and Helvetas Peru, has proven successful in benefiting 10,453 families involved in the banana, coffee, and cocoa value chains in the regions of Piura, San Martín, and Junín. Initially involving 150 organizations, it has seen these organizations make their first exports to numerous countries and has been effective in enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in these sectors. The initiative, which plans to expand to six additional regions and include mangoes and Andean grains, aims to further support Peruvian agriculture by providing export productive development services and promoting the internationalization of MSMEs. The collaboration between various government sectors and international partners has led to a notable improvement in the export capabilities of participating organizations, positively impacting a significant number of families and communities.
