(Agraria.pe) The Ministry of Production (Produce) reported that the National Pisco Competition 2025 has entered its physicochemical analysis phase, which is being carried out at the Center for Productive Innovation and Technological Transfer (CITE) Agroindustrial in Ica. During this stage, the specialists at the CITE Agroindustrial will evaluate more than 380 samples submitted by nearly 100 pisco companies from the five regions with Designation of Origin: Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Moquegua, and Tacna, in order to verify their quality, purity, and compliance with established standards. The tests include the analysis of parameters such as alcohol content, acidity, and sugar content, following the protocols of the National Pisco Commission (Conapisco), national technical standards, and the recommendations of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV).
