A survey by the Good Food Institute shows that 54% of Poles are willing to try cell-cultured meat, with 25% considering it as a meat replacement. The study reveals that 49% of respondents believe meat consumption in Poland is too high, and the same percentage plans to reduce or eliminate meat intake in the next two years. Cell-cultured meat, which requires fewer resources and generates fewer emissions, is supported by 56% of respondents for sale pending safety approval, and 51% advocate for domestic production. There is strong support for clear labeling and independent approval processes. LabFarm, a Polish start-up, has created a prototype of cellular poultry meat and is exploring the pet food market due to EU regulatory challenges. Cell-cultured meat is already approved in the US and Singapore, with applications pending in the UK and Switzerland.
