Moroccan Brussels sprouts exports to the UK increased tenfold

Morocco has increased its total exports of vegetables, with a notable increase in exports of Brussels sprouts to the United Kingdom. Moroccan exporters have managed to develop exports from scratch in just a few years. As can be seen from the graph, only a few years ago, sprouts from Morocco were not supplied to the British market at all. Moroccan producers managed to set up exports in 2019, but shipments were minimal, as they were a year later. The situation changed dramatically after Brexit, when Britain needed alternative import channels. Morocco has since exported significantly more fruit and vegetables to the UK market, including an increase in Brussels sprouts exports. From Brexit onwards, imports of Moroccan vegetables into the UK are growing and delivery volumes are showing a new record every year.
