Morocco’s first officially documented exports of fresh sweet corn to Germany date back to 2012, when 267 tons were delivered. Volumes grew steadily in the following years, exceeding 1,500 tons in 2020. Exports then declined between 2021 and 2023, before rebounding strongly in 2024 to set a new record. Historically, Germany has ranked no higher than fourth among Morocco’s export destinations for sweet corn, behind the UK, Spain, and the Netherlands.
