Morocco has continued to expand its fresh sweet corn exports to Germany for the second consecutive year, according to EastFruit. In the first nine months of 2025, Moroccan exporters shipped more than 2,000 tons of fresh sweet corn to Germany, valued at USD 3.83 million. This volume has already surpassed the previous record set in 2024 by 18% and is double the shipments recorded in 2023. Morocco’s first officially documented exports of fresh sweet corn to Germany date back to 2012, when 267 tons were delivered. Volumes grew steadily in the following years, exceeding 1,500 tons in 2020. Exports then declined between 2021 and 2023, before rebounding strongly in 2024 to set a new record. Historically, Germany has ranked no higher than fourth among Morocco’s export destinations for sweet corn, behind the UK, Spain, and the Netherlands.
