Machaze district in Manica province is projected to sell over 4,000 tons of cashew nuts this year, a 50% increase from the previous year. District administrator Joana Guinda announced that the marketing campaign for cashews is successful, with a noticeable rise in the number of sellers this season, as reported by Radio Mozambique. The district has also planted 65,600 out of a targeted 100,000 cashew tree seedlings.
