The Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank (MADB) has started issuing loans for cold-season crop planting in 2024, with a total amount of 140.05 billion kyats allocated. The loans will be distributed between October 2024 and the end of January 2025. The loans are applicable for cold-season crops such as hot-season rice, oil crops, cotton thread, beans, corn kernels, and onions. The loan per acre for rice fields will be 150,000 kyats, and 100,000 kyats for other crops. The loan period for cold-season crops is set from May to October 2025.
