National Seed Bank Gangwon Branch, accepting applications for government-distributed rice seeds until January 30

The Gangwon Branch of the National Institute of Crop Science will accept applications for 766.2 tons of government-distributed rice seeds until January 30. Applications can be submitted through the agricultural technology centers of cities, counties, and districts, as well as the administrative welfare centers of towns and neighborhoods. From November 21 to December 19, applications can only be made for the varieties and quantities allocated to the respective provinces. From January 2 to January 30, applications can be made for any remaining quantities, regardless of the province. The government-distributed rice seeds for 2026 supply are four varieties totaling 766.2 tons: two early varieties (Odae 431 tons, Haedeul 76 tons), one mid-early variety (Alchanmi 47 tons), and one mid-late variety (Samgwang 212.2 tons).
