[Reporter Lee Woo-jung, Korea Farmers' News] The Gangwon Branch of the National Institute of Crop Science will accept applications for 766.2 tons of government-distributed rice seeds until January 30. Applications can be submitted through city, county agricultural technology centers, and town, neighborhood administrative welfare centers. From November 21 to December 19, applications are only possible for the varieties and quantities allocated to the respective provinces. From January 2 to January 30, applications can be made without provincial distinction if there are remaining quantities. The total of 766.2 tons of distributed seeds for 2026 includes four varieties: two early-maturing varieties (Odae 431 tons, Haedeul 76 tons), one mid-maturing variety (Alchanmi 47 tons), and one late-maturing variety (Samgwang 212.2 tons).
