A shipment of 300 kilograms of fresh Malaysian Durian, famous variety Musang King, arrived at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, marking the start of fresh durian imports from Malaysia to China. This makes Malaysia the fourth country to be approved by China for fresh durian exports, joining Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. In order to facilitate the import of fresh products, Chengdu Customs is enhancing the construction of the 'Green Channel for Fresh and Perishable Agricultural and Food Products' and implementing a 24-hour appointment customs clearance guarantee mechanism. From January to August 2021, Chengdu Air Port imported over 2,900 tons of fruit, marking a 76% increase from the previous year, with durian, cherries, and mangosteen among the imports.
