Two cases of sheep and goat pox have been confirmed in two different livestock units in the Euxinoupolis area of Magnesia, Greece. The affected animals have been slaughtered and buried, and the area is in quarantine with continuous checks by the Veterinary Service. The deputy governor of Magnesia, Anna Maria Papadimitriou, has urged livestock farmers to follow veterinary service instructions to allow for slaughtering of other animals, provided there is no new case.
