Turkey sets a new record in dried fig exports

Dried fig exports, one of Turkey's important export products and a significant contribution to the country's economy, left 2024 behind with a 12 percent increase and 292 million dollars. Dried figs, an important export product of Aydın, where the world's highest quality figs are grown, continue to maintain their position as the world leader in exports. While the export of dried figs, also known as the fruit of paradise, brings smiles to faces every passing day, the export figures for the 2024 season also recorded a noticeable growth. Turkey exported 63,762 tons of dried figs in the 2023/24 season, while the amount of foreign exchange obtained from dried fig exports increased by 12 percent from 259 million dollars to 292 million dollars.
