Turkey's dried fig exports saw a 12% increase in 2024, reaching $292 million from $259 million, with the country shipping out 63,762 tons. As the global leader in dried fig production and export, the country is working to improve quality and prevent issues with aflatoxin and ochratoxin. The Aegean Exporters' Association is collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure quality and is targeting $300 million from dried fig exports in the 2024/25 season.
