Starting in July, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries will issue new licenses for fish farms to stabilize seaweed supply and demand and introduce a three-year Total Allowable Catch (TAC) system, initially for mackerel. A new 2,700ha seaweed farm will begin production in October. Coastal fishermen in a pilot project will have relaxed regulations if they comply with TAC. Marine products will be traded online from July 1, focusing on frozen and dried fish. A Paris Trade Support Center will open in November to support Korean seafood exports to Europe. Fishery by-products recycling will expand, and from January 2025, permits for the fishery seed production industry will include a 'sea festival type.'
