According to the agency, the varieties "expand the options for varietal diversification and contribute to the competitiveness of sugarcane cultivation in São Paulo and Brazil." The announcement was part of the 23rd release of the IAC Sugarcane Program and took place in Ribeirão Preto on November 25, during the 7th Meeting of the IAC Phytotechnical Group. According to the IAC, the variety IAC07-2361 "ensures the quality of the raw material delivered to the industry" and presents adaptation to mechanized cultivation in planting and harvesting.
